Embedding 'outstanding' physical education into primary schools

Significant Impact


Lesson observations at the end of 2016/17 showed 28% of P.E. lessons were graded outstanding and 72% were graded as good. Complete P.E. has had a significant impact on the delivery of Physical Education across our school.

90% KS2 ARE


Assessment data from 2016 showed 85% of KS1 and 87% of KS2 pupils reached ARE. Assessment data for 2017 shows 90% of KS1 pupils reached ARE and 16% were working beyond. 90% of KS2 reached ARE and 18% were working beyond as a result of teachers using Complete P.E.

In 2015/2016 0% of staff felt confident in teaching all areas of the P.E.curriculum. Data from April 2017 shows that 100% of teachers are now confident in teaching all areas of the P.E. curriculum as a result of using Complete P.E.

Simple Assessment


Complete P.E. has helped improve how our teachers assess and track pupils attainment in PE. The assessment tool is simple and easy to use and as a subject leader I am able to monitor the progress pupils that all are making.

Challenging Learning


Since the introduction of Complete P.E. there has been a significant improvement in the teaching and learning of physical education across all key stages. Teachers use the differentiation cards within the resource to challenge the learning of all pupils.
